... of branded food in USA
.
n
The Quincy Market at Boston which used to be a trading house in the days of the "Boston Tea Party" (1773) where the colonists rebelled against Britain, dressed as Read Indians boarded some British cargo ships and emptied their precious cargo of tea into the sea, thus began the history of American liberalization from their colonial master, Britain. A small bit, Yours Sincerely ( y s ) could recall from Form 5 History lesson way back in the 1960s. Bet present day pupils don't have an inkling of the "Boston Tea Party" but maybe they know more about the murderer turned patriot " Maharaja Lela " who cold bloodedly murdered James W W Birch, the first British Resident at Pasir Salak . (circa 1875)
The Quincy Market now houses numerous stalls and restaurants, something like our high end food courts with cuisines to increase your waist length, elevate your glucose level and cholestrol. The glittering and gleaming food seem to gaze at you invitingly, welcoming you to mouth them.
Y S could only post 10% of all the outlets. There are many more, not to mention the souvenir stalls.
When travelling, forget your staples and sample as much local food as you can stomach.

Hello Thomas, It's so lovely to meet you. Thank you for your visit and your wonderful comments. You really made my evening.
Kay, another friend from the scenic island of hawaii is a blessing to me. Blog on.
You are spoilt for choices! You can choose the Boston tea party or Maharaja Lela. For the younger generations, can they choose"
footiam, they are not given the choice!
Hello Thomas,
Lovely photos depicting mouth watering dishes.
Boston Tea party is always special because it shows the cravings of human beings to be free from bondage. Americans fought and got freedom and we in India got our freedom without violence under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi's non violent movement is considered unique but if you really see it, I think this is what Jesus Christ preached.
Best wishes,
Joseph
Joseph, tks 4 visiting. Non violence and that's what the world needs most now. back home, we have low life politicians who cry for blood of certain race! Very depressing.
So You were in the US recently, looks like you had a good time there. Yes there are no shortages of food chains in America, only thing is that they somehow don't taste like how it does in our country. The portions too are huge, I don't know how people can eat so much, for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I suppose that is why there are so many obese people there.
rama, I cannot agree more with you. In fact about 4 our 10 people we bumped into are obese. Honestly, I just cannot eat anymore after the starter. Sometimes I shared one order with my better half, and I got invited stares as if I could afford to order for two. Tks for visiting. Blog on.
